This is
the Philippines
The Philippines is my second home country. My mother comes from the Philippines so part of my heart belongs to the beautiful Islands. My fiancé and I love to visit the Philippines and travel to different islands across the country. We've been there already five times together and we desperately want to go there again as soon as possible.
Manila
Our Journey started in Manila. We travelled with Jeepney's trough the crowded City.
Samar
Samar is the 4th biggest Island of the Philippines. The island is not really modern but they are working on it. Many Malls and Hotels are being built at the moment. The nature is only touched by the locals. Even sightseeing tours are being hosted by locals. My relatives live in Samar, that's why I even visit this Island.
Tinambacan
Locals in the Philippines live simple. They help themselves if they need something. That's why family's don't own cars. They rather walk or take public transportation (for example Jeepney's or Tricycle)
coconut oil production
If you travel around Samar, you see plenty of smoke coming out of the forests. This is because of the production of coconut oil. Samar is one of the most important Islands in the world for coconut oil. If you are using shampoo with coconut oil, this coconut has probably grown in Samar.
man-made forest
This forest is a unique forest in the Philippines. As the name already says, this forest was made by people from the Philippines. It's a 2km man-made forest that was started 50 years ago. People touring in Bohol will pass through this forest. It's just along the highway so if you would want to take pictures, just park on the side where it is safe.
Coron islands
Coron is the third-largest island in the Calamian Islands in northern Palawan in the Philippines. The island is part of the larger municipality of the same name. It is about 170 nautical miles (310 km) southwest of Manila and is known for several Japanese shipwrecks of World War II vintage.
We didn't have our diving license yet but even just snorkling was a lot of fun and we could see some shipwrecks from the surface.
Coron Islands
Our tourguide told us that the locals in Coron are originally from Malaysia. The language they speak is soon extinct and none of the tourists are allowed to enter their village. This is an agreement between the inhabitants of Busuanga and the Coron Islands.

The Twin Lagoons are one of the must-see destinations in the Coron Island Hopping Tour. The first lagoon is where the boats dock, while the second lagoon is hidden, the only access of which is a small crevice underneath the rock, or during high tide, a ladder over the rock.
There are two sides to this photogenic lagoon where salt and fresh water meet.
Chocolate Hills
The Chocolate Hills are an unusual geological formation found in Bohol. It is found that there are 1,776 hills spread on an approximate 50 square kilometer area. Depending on the season, the Chocolate Hills change in color, varying from green to chocolate brown.
The Chocolate hills are the most famous tourist attraction in Bohol.
Puerto Galera
Puerto Galera is one of the three places in the Philippines recognized by UNESCO as a Man and Biosphere Reserve in 1973, the other two are Palawan and Albay. Aside from its white beaches, it is also known to be a popular diving site, boasting a precious marine life.
Baguio
Baguio, to many, is best known as the "Summer Capital of the Philippines", with its cool climate making this a spot to escape the chaotic scenes in Manila. The city is also home to tropical pine forests, lending the city the nickname "City of Pines".
Baguio has an elevation of 1,500 meters above sea level.
